Hi oldspork! The magic happens with the function charCodeAt. This function gets the numeric value of one character at a time. Since these are UTF-16 characters, you can get 16 bits of information in one character.

btw, changing the angle a from 137.5 to 137.3 or 137.6 produce different, albeit nice, patterns.

Although the point about radians is fully correct, I'd like to point out that the most accurate IEEE single float approximation of this angle in degrees is 137.50777 (which internally becomes 137.5077667236328125)
