You redefined u, redefining u breaks it. If you switch to edit mode (click and add a space or something) it fixes the issue.

Peter de Jong attractor. Changing the 1, 2, 3, 4 multipliers in the sine/cosine functions changes the shape.

Yeah, sorry, it was a bad joke. Just transferring random rectangles from an off-screen canvas. The only catch is the use of valueOf to cut down on the function call ()s.
