    My favorite trick here is onmousemove=e=>T=e:x , so you can get coords from T.x and T.y later. And the letter T prevents the "ReferenceError: X is not defined" initialization bug, since T is a previously defined variable.

    You can compress even more by changing the random component from i*i%255 to i*i%w but the image will be a little bit lighter.

    here's a 32 character golf: change the c.width/innerWidth and c.height/innerHeight with 3.4

    I checked how much it is and its actually 3.386243386243386 but 3.4 is pretty close

    I didn't want a hard-coded version because this solution is much better than this d/34332 which uses getBoundingClientRect to find the accurate position of your mouse no matter the size of your canvas. But I'll keep that in mind for future dweets.
