I did this from scratch and managed to implement a torus in much smaller space than last time. Notice the little ghost effect trick. There's still 22 bytes left but I felt the demo was ready.

Awesome technique! You could potentially add a way to "seed" the generation with a number and then search for a seed that resembles the Earth the most using brute-force.
