most of the compression techniques involve converting common (codes 0 - 255) ASCII to unicode, so you have a problem with embedding higher codes or emojis that use multiple higher codes. Here's one approach: https://dwitter.net/d/36129

Thanks. I think I used the same approach you did. I did try having a look at storing the emoji values as hex (with and without the repeating 0x1F) but adding the String.fromCodePoint() added more characters than it saved.

I've often place them in separate "uncompressed" variable e.g. s='🌞🔴🌍🪐';eval(unesc... then use s inside the compressed code.
