  • Sombrero function. Added +j (in fillRect x coordinate) to add perspective. Changed -64/+64 ("for i" and "for j") to other intervals so it can fit the image better and also removed .7* multiplications to get more space for equation.

    Simple version that calculates sqrt(2). If you change initial "x" to -1, it will converge to -sqrt(2), that is the other root of the equation Y=X**3-X*2. Code: x = 1; learning_rate = .1; for(i=0;i<50;i++) { x = x - learning_rate * (x**3 - 2*x) } throw(x);

In 1975, using the small HP-65 calculator, he discovered that the ratio of successive distances between bifurcation events tends to a constant δ ≈ 4.66920...     There is an interesting fact that the Pringles potato chips are a truncated hyperbolic paraboloid. The strength of the shape helps to prevent them from breaking while stacked. The curvature of the shape improves resistance to tension and compression forces. Remember this next time you eat a hyperbolic paraboloid.
