u/magna Thank you. I use this actually as a sort of mindfulness training. Observing a tiny, tiny rectangle being born in the deep middle, trying to follow it, slowly moving and growing, until it reaches you, at its maximum size, fading totally right in front.

These are party flags of the June Festival, a traditional Brazilian celebration, artistically portrayed by the renowned Brazilian painter Alfredo Volpi. The pastel colors seen on these flags are typical of tissue paper due to its transparency. If you search for 'Alfredo Volpi' or 'bandeirinhas juninas', you will find the reference.
