What do you mean by raw data? using the frame buffer for state? there are quite a variety of CA implementations here but they are mostly tagged gameoflife regardless of specific rule. I made a larger than life one recently that is capable of >1 radi moore neighborhoods

Change ^ to | and you will see falling Sierpinsky triangles! I mean: (i-t)|(i+t)
